From 1993 to 2014 I served with the mission organization Church Resource Ministries (now known as Novo) coaching pastors and churches in the U.S. and in Australia. From 1994 to 2000 I was the national director for ReFocusing in Australia, which spearheaded church revitalization initiatives across the nation. Our family returned to Southern California in 2000 where I have come along side pastors and churches from over thirty denominations. In 2002, I earned my Doctorate in Missiology from Biola University and focused my dissertation on the impact of coaching in the lives of pastors.
In 2014 I launched Empower Clarity. God’s call on my life is to be a Barnabas, an encourager and equipper of others. I want to help leaders live healthy and effective lives for God. And in turn, I desire to see churches and organizations grow in influence and impact in their communities. I view myself as a catalyst for change, someone who will try to do whatever it takes to enable breakthroughs to stick.
My wife, Carin and I have been happily married since 1986 after meeting in a missions bible study in Baltimore, Maryland. We are delighted that our three children have grabbed the baton of faith and are running their own race with God now as young adults. Carin has a vibrant ministry of intercession and continues to bless scores of people each week through prayer.
It’s time to get it clear, to get it done!
