Leadership Coaching
What Coaching Is

I have been actively coaching leaders for over twenty years across a wide range of organizations, churches, and businesses. Coaching, for me, is about coming along side a leader’s life by bringing clarity, encouragement, and accountability. It is a robust grappling with what truly are the most important priorities in an individual’s personal and professional life. I have come to believe that 80% of the time most people know what the “answers are”. What’s missing in their life is a trusted individual who can ask the right questions and help them devise a workable game plan for following through on critical commitments. It’s about helping a person “get it clear and get it done”.

Why Coaching

Leadership can be a lonely proposition at times. Coaching positions someone to have a safe place to explore ideas, implications, and possibilities. A coach can offer fresh perspective that is often missing in their circle of relationships or organization. For the last two decades, personal life coaches have been helping people set goals, dream bigger, confront stubborn blockages, and accomplish more. Put simply, coaching can position you to reach your personal and professional goals faster.

How Coaching Works

Coaching appointments are typically 45-60 minutes in length. I coach leaders all over the world and use a blend of phone, skype, and face-to-face coaching when appropriate. Most people benefit from a twice a month coaching rhythm. Most of my coaching relationships last for 6-12 months and can be renewed for longer periods of time if desired. All my coaching relationships are custom-designed to meet the unique needs of the individual. All reflection exercises, tools, assignments, and homework is tailor-made for the challenges and goals that the individual desires to focus on. Typically these are related to issues such as: organizational leadership, personal growth, health and fitness, spiritual growth, personal leadership, conflict management, and family.
